Cancellation and refunds

This policy governs the subscriptions Beetrothed LLC ("Beetrothed", "we") sells, and is part of the Terms of Service.

A couple pays a provider directly, under the provider's own published cancellation policy, and a refund under that policy is settled between the couple and the provider.

11. Our own subscriptions

Beetrothed is the merchant of record for its subscriptions: we charge for them, and we issue their refunds.

11.1 Canceling

You can cancel a subscription at any time in your account settings. Canceling stops the next charge, and your access continues to the end of the period already paid for. The charge for that period stands, except as §11.4 and §11.5 provide.

11.2 A failed payment

When a payment fails, your access continues for fourteen (14) days from the first failure. Our payment processor keeps retrying the payment method on file until the payment succeeds, you update it, or you cancel.

Near the wedding. Access continues through the wedding day when either of these happens to a subscription that had run for at least two billing periods:

• A couple's plan subscription has a payment outstanding on any day in the thirty (30) days before the wedding date, or its paid term ends inside those thirty days.
• A planner's subscription has its first failed payment, or its paid term ends, inside the thirty (30) days before a couple's wedding. The planner's access to that couple's plan continues through that wedding day.

11.4 Withdrawal, for consumers in the EEA and the UK

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from a subscription within fourteen (14) days of the day you subscribed, without giving any reason.

To withdraw, tell us before those fourteen days end: email hello@beetrothed.com, or send us the form below. We reimburse every payment received for the subscription within fourteen (14) days of receiving your notice, to the payment method you used, at no cost to you, and the subscription ends.

11.5 When we end the Service, and for consumers in the EEA

When we give notice that we will stop offering the Service (Terms §6B), each subscription is set to end with its paid term, and when the Service stops, we refund the unused days of each annual term still running.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area and we give notice of a change that reduces your access to or use of the Service by more than a minor degree, you may cancel within thirty (30) days of that notice or of the change, whichever is later. Canceling then ends the subscription with its paid term, and we refund the unused days of an annual term. A monthly subscription stops at the end of the period already paid for.

How the refund is counted:

• The days are the whole days left in the paid term when the refund is counted.
• The amount is the amount paid for the current term, times those days, divided by the number of days in the term, rounded to the nearest cent and never more than was paid. It is returned to the payment the term was bought with.
• One refund per payment. Where the payment for the current term already carries a refund, that refund is the one the term receives.
• Access continues to the end of the paid term.

Each subscription is governed by the version of this policy agreed to at its checkout, which is recorded against the subscription. This page shows the current version and its effective date.
